Picnic Races

A healthy blend of youth and experience has shaped the Roma Picnic Race Club Committee into one of the most progressive and successful organisations in the non-metropolitan racing scene.

The Picnic Races are held each year in March. Accommodation in Roma books out as people converge on the town. A Black Tie Ball is held on the Friday Night and is followed by the Carlton Mid Roma Picnic Races on the Saturday.

The 2010 Carlton Mid Roma Picnic Races programme includes:

Friday 19 March - Black Tie Ball @ 6.30pm with entertainment by Groove Inc. Tickets include hors d'oeurves and a 2 course meal with all beer and bottled wine included, and the chance to win numerous prizes.

Saturday 20 March - Carlton Mid Roma Picnic Races at Bassett Park.  11.30am - Complimentary buses running to Bassett Park; 12.30pm - Carlton Member's Bar opens; 12.30pm - Five Race Programme; 3.00pm - Afternoon Tea; 5.30pm - Party the night away with live band Groove Inc.; 6.00pm - Carvery meals available for purchase.
