A must see for all visitors to Roma.  This 7 million dollar living memorial to the pioneers of Australia's oil and gas industry, has two main areas.

Oil Patch

This absorbing self-guided walk with clusters of interpretative signs and audio panels is embeliished by drilling rigs, mining equipment and the Journey Through Time.  Well landscaped with a variety of vegetation, the Oil Patch also features a theatre where contemporary films focus on life on the rigs and the story of the extraction of methane gas from coal seam beds. The Oil Patch is open daily from 9.00am to 5.00pm, and visitors should allow at least an hour.

Night Show

Redesigned, this stunning 30 minute light and sound presentation dramatically recreates the story of the local oil and gas exploration in the early part of last century.  Set against the night sky of Roma, this theatrical presentation uses the latest technology to create a memorable experience. Starting times for the night shows vary - April to August 7.00pm - and September to March 7.30pm.
