The avenue starts on cnr Station and Wyndham Streets.

The heritage-listed Heroe's Avenue, featuring over 100 bottle trees, is a touching tribute to the fallen soilders from the Roma District who lost their lives in the First World War.  The planting began in 1918 with each tree now displaying it's own rememberance plaque.  This attraction can be viewed in a number of streets throughout the main part of town, and a fact sheet is available from the Visitor's Information Centre.
