Come and enjoy a relaxed evening for the whole family.  There’ll be a fireworks spectacular; DJ music featuring aussie favourites; big yard games; volleyball; an all ages colouring competition; a lucky dip; storytelling with Edward & Edwina the Emu; train rides on the Roma Express; and the Australia Day Awards Ceremony followed by a special Australia Day Cake.

This year Australia Day Ambassador, Mr Alen-Igor O’Hran will be joining our celebrations.  Mr O’Hran was the Young Australian of the Year in 2006.

At the age of eleven, Alen was forced to flee the war torn Sarajevo and seek refuge without his parents in Poland.  He arrived in Australia with his mother in 1996 with two bags, equivalent of $250 and no knowledge of English.  He gained a place a Queensland University of Technology and graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Law and Business Degree.
